Performance apparel is the category most decoration shops get burned on. The customer orders 50 red performance jerseys with a white team logo, the shop presses standard DTF, and two weeks later the customer sends photos of pink logos. That is dye migration. Polyester dye sublimates under press heat and bleeds into the white ink layer. This is a chemistry problem, not a workmanship problem, and it is solvable if you know what to solve for.
Our poly blocker DTF is a modified ink formula with a heavier white base layer and a chemical barrier tuned for the exact temperature range polyester behaves under. It presses cooler (285 to 295 F, not 305 F) and dwells shorter (8 to 10 seconds, not 15). The technique is different, but the outcome is a white that stays white on red, purple, and burgundy performance blanks that would ruin a standard DTF transfer.

Common mistakes on performance blanks.
Using standard DTF on red or purple polyester.
This is the classic reprint. Red and purple polyester dyes sublimate at 285 F and higher. Standard DTF presses at 305 F. The white ink layer turns pink within a week. Order poly blocker DTF for any polyester over 40% content, or press cotton-poly blends under 40% poly if the design cannot afford a color shift.

Cotton temp does not apply. Performance blanks press at 285 to 295 F, 8 to 10 second dwell, firm pressure. Every performance SKU on this hub carries the exact press specs. Read the SKU page before you fire up the press.
Skipping the swatch test on a new blank.
Two performance blanks that look identical on a spec sheet can behave differently on the press. If we have not published our formula tuning for a specific SKU, we recommend a swatch test at three temperatures before you commit to volume. Ten minutes of testing saves a 100-jersey reprint.
Trying to sublimate on our poly blocker or vice versa.
Poly blocker DTF and sublimation are two different technologies for the same problem. Sublimation dyes the fabric itself, poly blocker sits on top with a chemical barrier. If a customer says sublimation, do sublimation. If they say DTF on polyester, do poly blocker. Do not mix the methods on one order without a clear reason.
