Port Authority Blanks: The Corporate Uniform Standard

Port Authority is the institutional default for corporate uniform polo programs. The K500 silk touch polo is the most-decorated corporate blank in the country: poly-cotton blend, soft pique texture, and a traditional fit that works across body types from S to 6XL. The K540 silk touch performance polo is the upgrade path from the K500 for programs where moisture management matters. A golf outing, an outdoor hospitality staff, an athletic corporate event. The K540 is 100% polyester with a performance knit structure that wicks moisture faster than the K500 cotton-poly. DTF on the K540 requires the poly blocker formula because of the polyester content. Embroidery and fauxbroidery both work cleanly on the K540 foam front structure.

The K100 core classic pique is the budget tier below the K500. Cotton-poly pique at a lower price, suitable for programs where the polo is functional workwear rather than a brand statement. Restaurant front-of-house, facilities staff, retail associates: these programs do not need silk touch. They need durability, consistency, and a price per shirt that makes the program financially viable. The K100 delivers that.

For the K500 and K540, the decoration decision is clear: if the program will exist for five or more years, embroider it. If the program refreshes annually or the logo might change, fauxbroider it. DTF on a polo is rare but appropriate when the design is full-color and complex enough that embroidery stitch density would lose detail.
