Full-panel apparel decoration
Leatherette patches are appliques with defined edges. If the design needs to bleed edge-to-edge on the garment, use luxury branding transfers instead.
Custom shapes outside the 14 locked die-cuts
The catalog runs 14 shape+size combinations. Custom die cuts require tooling and a 250 unit minimum outside this scope. For any custom silhouette, raised UV patches are the flexible substrate.
Sub-10 unit runs of a single shape and color
The minimum is 10 units per shape, size, and color combination. Below that we cannot open the die cycle for you.
Extremely fine text or ultra-detailed halftone artwork
The raised UV finish and leatherette grain both soften sub-8 pt text and fine halftone. Simplify the art before ordering.
Every rating below comes from our press bench, not a manufacturer spec sheet. If a substrate is not listed, we have not tested it. Send us a sample and we will.
Richardson 112, YP Classics 6606, Otto trucker foam. Standard cap-press cycle.
Dad hats, unstructured caps. Slightly lower press temperature (285F) to preserve the crown shape.
10 to 15 oz canvas. Use a heat-press pillow to keep the surrounding fabric flat.
Cuff-fold applications. Do not press across a knitted seam.
Carhartt-style duck canvas jackets. Test wash cycle on unfamiliar coatings first.
Reduce press to 260F. Waxed finishes can migrate under standard heat.
265F max. Some nylons scorch above 275F. Test each new blank.
Uneven substrate ridges under the patch prevent a full-perimeter bond. Sew-on backing required.
Build height, feel, press cycle, peel behavior, wash durability, plus the production notes you would only know after your first run.
Six colors: tan, sandstone, grey, black, pink, blue. Colors are production-locked and read consistently across runs. No custom color matching.
The 4 x 2.5 rounded rectangle silhouette ships as the 2.5 x 4 variant rotated to match the classic Carhartt hat patch orientation.
Backing options: heat-press adhesive (standard) or sew-on cloth (specify in order notes). Adhesive holds without stitching on structured caps and canvas.
Each patch is die-cut before the UV print step, so the raised finish never runs off the edge. Edges cut clean without fray.

White ink dropouts, thin black lines that did not lay down, or missing detail from a small text run: if it left our shop that way, we reprint it.
If the PET film separates before you press the transfer, that is a materials defect, not user error. We track film lot numbers per production run.
