Resolution
The pixel density of a raster image, typically measured in DPI at the intended physical print size.
Definition
Resolution is the measure of pixel density in a raster image at a given physical size. It is typically expressed in dots per inch (DPI). A high-resolution image carries enough pixels to print crisp detail at the intended size. A low-resolution image produces visible pixelation, soft edges, and jagged type. The production minimum for DTF and UV DTF artwork at Golden DTF is 300 DPI at final print size. Submitting a low-resolution file triggers a flag at intake. The customer can approve the soft print or order a vector trace through the Vector Credit Pack to rebuild the artwork cleanly.
