Pre-cut is a trim service, not a print discount. Gang sheets pack more art per film sheet and cost less per transfer if you are willing to trim.

The contour cutter follows the outer edge of the artwork with a light offset. Very fine internal detail (tiny type, hairline logos) risks the carrier film flexing during cut and misregistering by a hair. Order base transfers and hand-trim for max detail.
You are decorating hard goods.
Pre-cut is a DTF (fabric) add-on. If you are doing tumblers, glass, or leather, order UV DTF instead. UV DTF ships with a peel-away transfer sheet, no cutting required.
Pre-cut is an add-on service, not a separate print product. The underlying transfer is identical to the base DTF or crystal-white transfer you ordered. Every fabric your base transfer works on, the pre-cut version works on. Below is the base fabric matrix, unchanged.

ExcellentSame 310 to 320 F, 12 seconds press cycle as base DTF. Pre-cut has no effect on adhesion or wash durability.
50/50 cotton-poly blend
ExcellentIdentical performance to base transfer. Pre-cut just removes the trim step for the operator.

GoodBase transfer settings apply. Pre-cut is often most valuable here because polyester tees frequently run in high-volume team orders.

What actually changes when you add pre-cut
The print, the ink, the adhesive powder, the carrier film, all identical to a base DTF transfer. What changes is a contour-cut step during production. Each transfer is individually cut on a commercial-grade contour plotter following the outer edge of the artwork with a small offset. What you receive is a stack of individually trimmed transfers, ready to grab and press. Wash durability, bond strength, stretch tolerance, none of it changes.
How it changes your production floor
For a 50-piece order, pre-cut saves roughly 30 to 45 minutes of trim work that would otherwise happen at the press station. For a 500-piece fulfillment run, that is a full production shift. The invisible win is consistency: production-grade contour cutting is more precise than any scissor or rotary trimmer, and the outlines look intentional. The catch is that on very small orders the labor savings do not offset the 29 cent per transfer add-on. Break-even runs around 24 pieces for most shops.

File types
Any file that works for the underlying base transfer works for pre-cut. PNG with transparent background is cleanest because the contour follows the visible edge. AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, and JPG accepted (JPG will contour-cut to the entire rectangle unless the background is removed at upload).
Resolution
Same 300 DPI standard as base DTF. Pre-cut does not change the print resolution requirement.
Color and profile
Identical to base. RGB files convert to a calibrated CMYK profile on our side. If you need a specific Pantone match on a production run, flag it in checkout notes.
Sizing and cropping
The contour cut follows the outer visible edge of your artwork with a small offset (roughly 1.5 mm). If you want the transfer cut to a specific shape (a circle, a badge outline) rather than the artwork bounding box, include a cut path in your file or note it at checkout.
